Una Battaglia dopo l’Altra e Hamnet di Chloe Zhao, guidano le nomine dell’Alliance of Women Film Journalists 2025.
L’Alliance of Women Film Journalists (AWFJ), come riportato da AwardsWatch, ha annunciato le nomination agli EDA Awards, che dal 2006 valorizzano il lavoro delle donne nel cinema, sia nelle categorie generali sia nelle sezioni Female Focus.
A guidare la corsa è One Battle After Another di Paul Thomas Anderson con 12 candidature, seguito da Hamnet di Chloé Zhao (10), Sinners di Ryan Coogler (8) e Sentimental Value di Joachim Trier (7), tutti presenti nelle categorie principali.
Nelle sezioni Female Focus, Eva Victor (Sorry, Baby) e Mary Bronstein (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) si contendono i premi per regia e sceneggiatura, mentre Chase Infiniti e Teyana Taylor figurano tra le interpretazioni femminili rivelazione.
L’AWFJ, che conta 88 membri, ha monitorato per il 2025 circa 500 film diretti da donne o incentrati su protagoniste femminili, promuovendone la visibilità durante tutto l’anno su AWFJ.org. Gli EDA Awardsprendono il nome da Eda Reiss Merin, figura storica dell’industria cinematografica.
