British Independent Film Awards 2025: annunciati i vincitori, Pillion è il Miglior Film

Annunciati i vincitori dei Bristish Independent Award 2025, ha trionfare come Miglior Film Pillion di Harry Lighton.

La commedia romantica BDSM Pillion di Harry Lighton, ha vinto il premio come Miglior Film Indipendente Britannico ai BIFA 2025, dove Lighton si è aggiudicato anche il titolo di Miglior Sceneggiatore Esordiente. Con le precedenti vittorie per costumi, trucco e acconciature, il film arriva a quattro riconoscimenti, pari merito con Warfare di Alex Garland, premiato per cast corale, suono, effetti speciali e montaggio.

The Ballad of Wallis Island, come riportato da AwardsWatch, si è aggiudicato tre premi miglior musica, sceneggiatura e interpretazione da protagonista, grazie alle performance di Tim Key e Tom Basden. Nonostante le sue undici nomination, My Father’s Shadow invece ha portato a casa un solo riconoscimento, quello per la regia di Akinola Davies Jr. Il film norvegese Sentimental Value di Joachim Trier è stato eletto miglior film indipendente internazionale.
