Cannes 78: annunciati i vincitori, a Un Simple Accident di Jafar Panahi la Palma d’Oro

Cannes 78: annunciati i vincitori, a Un Simple Accident diretto dal regista iraniano Jafar Panahi porta a casa la Palma d’Oro.

Il 78esimo Festival di Cannes ha svelato i suoi vincitori. La giuria, presieduta da Juliette Binoche e composta da Payal Kapadia, Alba Rohrwacher, Hong Sangsoo, Carlos Reygadas e Jeremy Strong, ha assegnato la Palma d’Oro al film Un Simple Accident del regista iraniano Jafar Panahi.

Il Premio della Giuria è stato attribuito ex aequo a Sirat di Oliver Laxe e Sound of Falling di Mascha Schilinski, mentre il Grand Prix è andato a Sentimental Value del norvegese Joachim Trier.

Il brasiliano Kleber Mendonça Filho ha vinto il premio per la Miglior Regia con il film O Agente Secreto, per il quale Wagner Moura ha ricevuto anche il premio come Miglior Attore. Il premio come Miglior Attrice è stato assegnato a Nadia Melliti per la sua interpretazione in Le Petit Dernier di Hafsia Herzi. Il riconoscimento per la Migliore Sceneggiatura infine è andato a Jeunesse Mères dei fratelli Luc e Jeanne-Pierre Dardenne.

La giuria ha inoltre assegnato un Premio Speciale a Resurrection di Bi Gan, mentre la Palma d’Oro per il miglior cortometraggio è stata vinta da I’m Glad You’re Dead Now di Tawfiq Barhum. Nessun premio, invece, per Fuori di Mario Martone, rimasto a mani vuote.
