Cinema Audio Society Awards: F1 vince il premio principale; The Pitt, The Studio e Adolescence trionfano in TV.
Sabato sera si è svolta la 62ª edizione dei Cinema Audio Society Awards, i premi che celebrano l’eccellenza nel missaggio sonoro per cinema e televisione. Come riportato da AwardsWatch, il riconoscimento principale per il cinema è andato a F1, che continua così la sua corsa nella stagione dei premi.
Nel campo dell’animazione, KPop Demon Hunters ha continuato a dominare la stagione dei premi vincendo il riconoscimento per il miglior missaggio sonoro.
Per quanto riguarda la televisione, i vincitori nelle categorie principali sono stati The Pitt per le serie drammatiche, The Studio per le serie comedy e Adolescence per film televisivi o miniserie. Tra i documentari hanno trionfato Becoming Led Zeppelin per il cinema e Billy Joel: And So It Goes per la televisione.
Durante la serata sono stati consegnati anche alcuni premi speciali. Il regista premio Oscar Guillermo del Toro (Frankenstein, Il labirinto del fauno, La forma dell’acqua) ha ricevuto il Cinema Audio Society Filmmaker Award, mentre il tecnico del suono Skip Lievsay (Gravity, Non è un paese per vecchi, Il Grinta, Il silenzio degli innocenti) è stato insignito del CAS Career Achievement Award.
Il Jeffrey S. Wexler Award 2026, dedicato al tecnico del suono scomparso nel dicembre 2025 e assegnato per il progresso nella tecnologia audio, è stato attribuito a Evan Brooks, Peter Gotcher, Glenn Sanders e Howard Stark.
