Annunciati i riconoscimenti di cinema e tv della 19esima edizione dei Cinema Eye Honors Awards di New York.
Come See Me in the Good Light conquista due premi ai Cinema Eye Honors Awards di New York, tra cui il più prestigioso Outstanding Nonfiction Feature. Diretto da Ryan White e prodotto da Tig Notaro, il documentario racconta con sensibilità e ironia la storia d’amore delle poetesse Andrea Gibson e Megan Falley di fronte alla malattia terminale di Gibson.
Tra gli altri riconoscimenti, come riportato da AwardsWatch, il premio per la Miglior Produzione è andato ex aequo a The Alabama Solution (HBO) e Apocalypse in the Tropics (Netflix). Geeta Gandbhir ha vinto la Miglior Regia per The Perfect Neighbor, che si è aggiudicato anche il premio per il Miglior Montaggio. Seeds di Brittany Shyne ha ottenuto i premi per Miglior Opera Prima e Miglior Fotografia.
Per la televisione, Social Studies di Lauren Greenfield è stata premiata come Miglior Serie Non Fiction e per il Miglior Montaggio Televisivo. La 19ª edizione dei Cinema Eye Honors si è tenuta alla New York Academy of Medicine di East Harlem ed è stata trasmessa in streaming su YouTube.
