La Critics Choice Association (CCA), come riportato da AwardsWatch, ha annunciato le candidature della quinta edizione dei Critics Choice Super Awards, che celebrano i generi più amati dal pubblico, sia in televisione che al cinema, tra cui supereroi, fantascienza/fantasy, horror e azione. I vincitori saranno annunciati su CriticsChoice.com giovedì 7 agosto 2025 alle ore 9:00 PT.
Deadpool & Wolverine e Thunderbolts* guidano la classifica dei film con sei nomine ciascuno, inclusa quella per il Miglior Film di Supereroi. Sul fronte televisivo, The Last of Us domina con sei menzioni, tra cui Miglior Serie TV, Miniserie o Film per la TV di Supereroi e Miglior Serie TV, Miniserie o Film per la TV Horror. Pedro Pascal ha ricevuto le nomine in entrambe le categorie come Miglior Attore, mentre Bella Ramsey è stata nominata sia come Miglior Attrice in una Serie TV, Miniserie o Film per la TV di Supereroi sia come Miglior Attrice in una Serie TV, Miniserie o Film per la TV Horror. (Le categorie dedicate ai supereroi includono anche le serie ispirate a fumetti e videogiochi.)
