Il Florida Film Critics Circle (FFCC) ha annunciato le nomination del 2025, distinguendosi come uno dei pochi gruppi critici ad aver spinto lo sguardo ben oltre i confini tracciati nelle ultime due settimane di premi.
Con le candidature di Grand Tour e The Mastermind come Miglior Film, e quelle di Bi Gan (Resurrection) e Kelly Reichardt (The Mastermind) come Miglior Regista, il FFCC, come riportato da AwardsWatch, dimostra di non lasciarsi condizionare da percorsi critici o narrativi già consolidati.
Il gruppo ha inoltre nominato Renée Zellweger come Miglior Attrice per Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy — nonostante il film non sia ancora uscito nelle sale statunitensi — insieme a Crista Alfaiate per Grand Tour.
Tra gli interpreti non protagonisti figurano Rita Cortese (Molte persone muoiono di domenica) come Miglior Attrice Non Protagonista e Jacques Develay (Misericordia) come Miglior Attore Non Protagonista. I vincitori saranno annunciati la prossima settimana.
