Sono state annunciate le nomination della 35ª edizione dei Gotham Awards. Come riportato da AwardsWatch Una battaglia dopo l’altra di Paul Thomas Anderson guida con sei menzioni, tra cui Miglior Film, Miglior Regista, Miglior Sceneggiatura Non Originale e Miglior Attrice Non Protagonista per Benicio del Toro e Teyana Taylor. Curiosamente, Leonardo DiCaprio e Sean Penn non compaiono tra i candidati principali, mentre l’esordiente Chase Infiniti concorre come Miglior Attrice Rivelazione.
Hamnet di Chloé Zhao ottiene le candidature per Miglior Film e Miglior Interpretazione Principale (Jessie Buckley), ma non per regia o supporto non protagonista (Paul Mescal). Bugonia riceve solo la nomination per Miglior Film, Sentimental Value solo per interpreti non protagonisti (Stellan Skarsgård e Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas). Frankenstein di Guillermo del Toro ottiene la nomina per Jacob Elordi, mentre Sinners solo per Wunmi Mosaku, con tributo al cast già annunciato.
