Christy con protagonista Sydney Sweeney trionfa alla 23esima edizione dell’Irish Film Television Academy Awards 2026.
Si è svolta al Dublin Royal Convention Centre la 23ª edizione degli IFTA Awards, i premi che celebrano le eccellenze del cinema e della televisione irlandese davanti e dietro la macchina da presa. A condurre la cerimonia, come riportato da AwardsWatch, è stato il comico e presentatore irlandese Kevin McGahern, e a trionfare è stato il film Christy, che si è aggiudicato il premio per il Miglior Film, la Miglior Regia e il Miglior Casting. In ambito internazionale, il riconoscimento per il Miglior Film è andato a Hamnet di Chloé Zhao.
Tra i premi attoriali internazionali spiccano Leonardo DiCaprio ed Emma Stone, vincitori rispettivamente come Miglior Attore e Miglior Attrice Internazionale, mentre l’Irish Academy Award alla carriera è stato conferito all’attore candidato all’Oscar Ciarán Hinds, per il suo contributo al cinema nell’arco di cinquant’anni.
