Svelate le nomination dei NAACP Image Awards 2026, che vedono in testa Sinners per il cinema e Bel-Air per la tv.
Il film epico sui vampiri Sinners, diretto da Ryan Coogler, domina le nomination della 57ª edizione dei NAACP Image Awards con 18 candidature, confermandosi come il titolo più nominato dell’anno. A seguire si posiziona Highest 2 Lowest di Spike Lee, che conquista nove menzioni. Tra le candidature individuali spiccano Teyana Taylor e Kendrick Lamar, entrambi in gara per One Battle After Another e forti di sei nomination ciascuno. I due si sfideranno per il riconoscimento di Entertainer of the Year insieme a Michael B. Jordan, Doechii e Cynthia Erivo, che totalizza quattro candidature.
Sul versante televisivo, Bel-Air, come riportato da AwardsWatch, recentemente giunta al termine dopo quattro stagioni su Peacock, guida le nomination con sette candidature. Subito dietro si collocano Abbott Elementary, Reasonable Doubt e Ruth & Boaz, tutte con sei nomination, a testimonianza di un’annata particolarmente competitiva per la serialità.
I NAACP Image Awards 2026 sveleranno i vincitori di alcune categorie principali durante uno speciale televisivo di due ore in diretta su CBS, in programma sabato 28 febbraio alle ore 20:00. I premi delle categorie non televisive saranno invece assegnati nel corso di cerimonie separate che si terranno dal 23 al 26 febbraio.
