La Producers Guild of America ha annunciato le candidature per la 37ª edizione dei Producers Guild Awards, delineando una selezione che punta soprattutto su titoli originali. In corsa per il principale premio cinematografico, come riportato da AwardsWatch, ci sono, tra gli altri, F1, Weapons, Bugonia, Frankenstein e Hamnet.
Warner Bros. è lo studio più rappresentato con tre candidature, seguita da Focus Features e Netflix con due ciascuna. Restano invece fuori i grandi sequel della stagione: Avatar: Fire and Ash e Wicked: For Good non sono stati selezionati, a conferma della scelta della PGA di privilegiare opere originali o adattamenti, con la sola eccezione del remake Bugonia.
Il Darryl F. Zanuck Award è tradizionalmente un indicatore importante in chiave Oscar, visto che la maggior parte dei suoi vincitori ha poi conquistato anche il premio per il Miglior Film agli Academy Awards.
Per la televisione, tra le serie drama figurano titoli come Andor, Severance e The White Lotus, mentre sul fronte comedy spiccano The Bear, Hacks e Only Murders in the Building. La cerimonia dei Producers Guild Awards si terrà sabato 28 febbraio 2026 al Fairmont Century Plaza.
