Le nomination agli USC Scripter Awards 2025, in lizza gli adattamenti di Hamnet, Frankenstein, Train Dreams e Slow Horses.
Le sceneggiature di Frankenstein, Hamnet, One Battle After Another, Peter Hujar’s Day e Train Dreams, insieme alle opere letterarie di riferimento, sono state nominate all’USC Scripter Award per il miglior adattamento cinematografico. In ambito televisivo concorrono invece gli episodi di Dark Winds, Death by Lightning, Dept. Q, Slow Horses e Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light. L’annuncio è stato dato lunedì dalle biblioteche della University of Southern California.
Tra i candidati figurano Chloé Zhao (Hamnet), già vincitrice dello Scripter Award con Nomadland; Clint Bentley e Greg Kwedar (Train Dreams), nominati lo scorso anno per Sing Sing; Guillermo del Toro (Frankenstein), già candidato per Pinocchio; e Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another), in passato in gara per Il petroliere e Vizio di forma.
I vincitori, come riportato da AwardsWatch, saranno scelti da una giuria presieduta da Howard Rodman, vicepresidente dell’Academy, e annunciati durante la 38ª edizione degli USC Libraries Scripter Awards, in programma il 22 febbraio 2026 nel campus della USC.
