Annunciati i vincitori degli ASTRA Film Awards 2024, a dominare il live-action Barbie che conquista 8 riconoscimenti
I vincitori degli ASTRA Film Awards 2024 della Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) sono stati annunciati in diretta dal Biltmore Hotel di Los Angeles. Barbie ha dominato con otto vittorie: miglior film, migliore attrice, miglior attore non protagonista, migliore sceneggiatura originale, migliore canzone originale, migliore scenografia, Miglior campagna pubblicitaria e Miglior casting.
Oppenheimer della Universal Pictures ha invece ottenuto quattro vittorie; Miglior regista, Miglior colonna sonora, Miglior suono e Miglior fotografia, mentre John Wick: Capitolo 4 di Lionsgate e Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse di Sony Pictures tre ciascuno.
Paul Giamatti si è portato a casa il premio come miglior attore per The Holdovers e la sua co-protagonista Da’Vine Joy Randolph ha continuato a dominare nella corsa come miglior attrice non protagonista con un’altra vittoria qui. Miglior attrice a pari merito invece Margot Robbie per Barbie, e Lily Gladstone per Killers of the Flower Moon.
Nelle categorie internazionali i vincitori sono stati Anatomy of a Fall per il miglior lungometraggio internazionale e Miglior attrice internazionale per Sandra Hüller. Gael García Bernal è stato nominato Miglior attore internazionale per Cassandro e Miglior regista internazionale è stato incoronato Hayao Miyazaki per Il ragazzo e l’airone.
